When a group of adventurers band together to defend the coastal town of Sandpoint from a goblin raid, they uncover the beginnings of a plot to raise an evil Runelord, an overlord of the ancient civilization of Thassilon, back into the material plane to begin his decadent dominance over the land once again. The fate of Varisia rests in the hands of a hick half-ef paladin, a mute bard, an angry dwarf with too much time on his hands, and a halfling rogue more at home to Bag End than adventuring.
This playthrough of Pathfinder’s Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path features a variety of
call centre agents, and a drama student new Pathfinder/D&D players as they explore the rustic country of Varisia, filled with colourful gypsies, ancient ruins, demented goblins, hillbilly ogres and the rebirth of an ancient evil runelord.
